HOW IT WORKS

How do I get started with therapy?

We’ll start where you are

If you’re seeking psychotherapy, you are probably wondering what to expect. Contact me if you would like to learn more. To help me assist you, please include the following information in your message:

1. The reason you’re seeking therapy at this time
2. The best callback number to reach you
3. Some dates and times you are available to meet

Before your first appointment, please read, sign, and submit the patient forms. You can reach out with any questions you have in the meantime.

01

We’ll make a plan of action

When we meet for your first appointment, we’ll talk about your decision to start therapy. You’ll have a chance to talk more about why you’re seeking therapy at this time and what you want to change. Then, we’ll discuss how therapy can help you achieve your goals. In the next several sessions, we will fine-tune these goals to help you be successful.

02

We’ll take it one step at a time

Typically, patients meet with a therapist once per week for about 45-50 minutes. During sessions, we will review your progress and discuss how therapy is going. We will discuss and make any necessary adjustments.

Fees for Private Pay

Many individuals seeking psychotherapy prefer to pay out of pocket or do not have psychotherapy covered under their insurance plans. Consultation, coaching, and training are generally not covered by insurance plans. My rates for all services are below.

Intake Assessment & Evaluation…………………………………………………………………………………$375

First-time patients must schedule an initial intake assessment.  Intake sessions are 60-90 minutes.  The intake assessment is scheduled only once, unless couples need individual assessments.

Individual Psychotherapy Session……………………….…………………………………………….……..$250
Couples/Relationship Psychotherapy Session……………………………………………………..$350

Existing patients who have already completed an intake assessment may schedule psychotherapy sessions as often as they desire. Psychotherapy sessions are 45-50 minutes.  Patients may meet weekly, twice weekly, biweekly, or monthly. There are no restrictions on how many sessions patients schedule within a given timeframe.

Consulting and Training Services……………………………………………………………………………….Call for more information

Consulting and training services are available for individuals and groups seeking professional consultation, training, or performance coaching for vocalists and musicians.  Performance coaching is not psychotherapy.
